Mary Treat Putman was born and raised in Delaware but has lived in Alabama most of her life.  She has also lived in Georgia, Virginia, and Hawaii.  Mary graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors degree in Education and received a Masters in Education as an Educational Specialist from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Mary taught for several years.  Her teaching experience includes Montessori preschool, fifth grade, and high school English.  She also worked as a merchandiser for Kraft Foods and also as a part time claims adjuster for Blue Cross.  Her work experience enabled her to put that same relationship building into practice upon joining real estate in 2004. 

Mary enjoys working with people who are looking for a new home.  Her goal is to put her client in THE perfect home.  One example of that dedication was a client overwhelmed by the many homes she had viewed. The client asked her husband to let her know when he found the perfect home.  Mary persisted, and found one he loved.  His wife agreed and they bought it!

When Mary is not selling real estate she and her husband of 41 years, David, enjoy spending time with their two children and six wonderful grandchildren.  Mary is also an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, Alabama.  She enjoys gardening, photography, computer scrapbooking and cheering for her alma mater, Auburn University.  Go Tigers!
